Garden Resources.

The purpose of this page is to provide a quick reference to useful information on garden and grounds management. This may include reference material on machinery, tool spares and growing tips.

The Gardening Recovery Project was initiated in July 2009 in response to the deterioration in appearance and obvious lack of commitment by members. The failure was not recognizing the grounds as an asset of the club. The source of the problem was the historical attitude to Waste Management - Out of sight - Out of mind - ignore it !

This policy encouraged members and the public to treat our grounds as the local fly tip. Materials recovered from the grounds included a large volume of metal waste, glass, plastics, furniture frames and carpets. The net result was a constant sour smell and large infestation of foreign invasive species including Spirea Douglassi and Laurel.
